Opaque, black beer with a fawn, silky head that climbs up to two fingers and descends sluggishly downwards to a frazil-icy lacing and a neat lace ring on top. The withdrawing foam splashes the glass with thick coverings on the wall of the glass. The fragrance is truly smoky. It overpowers other nuances. I can only depict a very distant whisper of peat among the olfactory components. The gustatory package offers heavily smoky dark malt with a peaty nuance, a bit of bonfire, soot and a pinch of charcoal. The name suggests that there should be whiskey in the taste, I wonder where it's looming... The body is light to light-medium. The beer finishes with dry dark malt, pipes of smoke and sooty peat. The aftertaste has long duration. The mouthfeel is smoky, a bit charred and relatively husky. It's also dry, mouth-drying and interestingly also faintly lip-glueing. Too thin though.

Hyvin vahvasti savuisten viskien makumaailmaan kumartavat stout. Jos runko olisi tukevampi, täydet pinnat olisivat lähellä.
