Only tempted by this because of the similarities between my favourite ale that is Old speckled hen .. and have to agree it is just that only slight difference is the slightly weaker caramel taste about it otherwise it’s a great beer to be had well done marstons

Used to love Amber Adder (later on just became amber ale) from Lidl, and this is close from Aldi but not quite. The Lidl one had a peppery finish. This is smoother and more malty. Nice quaffable beer though.
