Relatively clear, gold beer with introverted carbonation builds a restrained head that fails to reach half a finger. Soon the surface is adorned by a faint ring only. The scent offers powerful pear marmalade that is obviously seasoned with lactose and vanilla. Interesting! The pear turns moderately sour on the tongue, escorted by a pinch of salt. Very easily identifiable though. Lactose disappears, more or less, but vanilla remains attainable although obscure. Green apple is another fruity element that waves a flag when sipping this. The body is light. The end gives more green apple than pear. The level of sourness is reasonable. The aftertaste dies hastily. The mouthfeel is light, slightly tart, juicy, estery, balanced. Marginally acidic. Enjoyable, +0.4 stars extra for a difficult shy fruit that succeeds considerably well here.
