Watching the Ravens and Bills in their 2024 playoff game while having a Duo with Ryan and a 35th anniversary special beer from Boulevard. Love that Brewery. Not much head on this beer but the color is a gorgeous deep clear red. Aroma is sweet, malty, dark fruit, and bourbon. Males feel is soft and gentle. So incredibly smooth. Has a sweetness of confectionery brown sugar, ripe prunes, and some oak barrel. All this is enveloped by a gentle overcast of malt. Towards the middle a little bit of bourbon arrives and a bready toasted toffee. As it gently transfers into the finish I get the smallest breeze of chocolate passing through and gone. From first to last this beer is gentle and glides from one faze to the next. All the components blend perfectly. It's sophisticated and elegant. We're going to try to find more of this.
