Starts with a deep brown color, chocolate head that disappears. Dark malt aroma, vanilla, caramel and an alcohol that has whiskey overtures. Exceedingly soft and creamy texture. Milk chocolate in a glass. Vanilla in the background as it slowly becomes more bittersweet dark chocolate. Alcohol escapes detection until the middle where it reveals as more of a tingling than a flavor. By the third sip the texture becomes almost fluffy. The alcohol drifts toward American whiskey. The finish offers nothing new. I was hoping for a more complex beer tonight but this one is quite simple. I love desert beers and this is definitely just that. Not a lot to contemplate here. It's a tall boy can so I'll sit back and enjoy.
