Advent Calendar Beer #️⃣2️⃣. Sooo... what I have in the glass now is a relatively lucid, deep copper beer. The surface enjoys creamy billowy decorations that exceed two fingers. The foamy lid collapses unevenly to the sides, still remaining neatly thick. A gossamer horizontal ring remains at the level of the highest peak of the froth. Caramel, slightly syrupy bread, raisin and a dash of dried apricot. Those are the olfactory components. Promises a nice easygoing experience. The tongue observes fairly similar flavors, such as caramel malt, multigrain bread, apricot, raisin, a drop of resin, bitter grass and a distant note of raw chestnut. Not exactly as inviting as the fragrance suggests but reasonable anyway. Light is this beer. Nor is the ABV bigger than 4.6 %. The finish loses part of the resinous flavor and the bitterness of the raw chestnut but maintains the rest of the elements up to the end. Then the grassy bitterness intensifies again for a short while before it's gone. Feels light, smooth, fairly balanced, satiating and quite easy anyway. Leaves a marginal lip-glueing impression behind.
