Ruskeassa tölkissä kurkistus junanvaunun ikkunasta ulos punertavaan maailmaan. Vaahto poreili pois jättäen jälkeensä mustan juoman. Kahvin makua ja tuoksua. Tervapastillin makua eli voima pilkistää kaiken seasta. 4,44€.

Pastry Train - White Lady, Netherlands
3.1
This murky, jet black beer is part of a "Pastry Train" series that portrays various cakes. This cake is White Lady. I'm not a cake expert but Google advises me about the nature of this particular cake. 🍰 The carbonation is, understandably, suppressed. Still, a porous brass head falls short of one finger and dissipates quickly to a truly gossamer lace ring and soon to zero. Vanilla custard, bowls of cream, milk chocolate, toffee and caramel find my nose in the first wave. The second tier portrays a hint of almond paste as well as remote blueberry and blackcurrant jam. Very cakey, looks like it matches nicely a White Lady pack. The taste can't simply fly to the same altitude as what the fragrance reaches. Licorice, blackcurrant juice, a bit of blueberry, plum and a coffeeish vibe are the key elements of the taste. The impression is juicy, faintly sour and absolutely much less cakey than what the olfactory sector suggests. The body is light-medium. The ABV would definitely merit a bigger body. The tail is quite similar to the first encounter but dark chocolate and cacao nibs ascend to the stage now. Not particularly impressive. White lady, please spare me; let the light in my aftertaste leave swiftly; oh, Spirit, I feel it for the love of f***ing beer, release it! The mouthfeel is light-medium, juicy, autumnal, candy-like and lip-glueing. Starts beautifully in the air but flattens seriously on the tongue and to the finish. P.S. The winter is obviously approaching: 1.5°C in the morning, frost on the grass. Chilly.
