A Duo beer with Ryan. Don't know what happened but the beautiful photo I took disappeared. Barely had anything left in the glass for this photo. Had almost two fingers of head, light yellow color with plenty of effervescence. Light haze, no particulates. Immediately tasted the cask that it was aged in, the Chardonnay wine was also apparent. Light smooth texture. Really sweet and fruity. A natural sweetness from a pear or grape. Perhaps even a touch of lemon pulp. Has a very light malt characteristic, toward the end develops a honey taste. The flavor in the finish drifts off and is gone by late finish. As Ryan and I discussed this beer we suddenly realize that we're not including the 9 1/2 % alcohol. That's because we can't taste it. Wow, so dangerous. Pretty good beer and would be great with fish or Italian.
