Happy Friday. This interesting. It’s more of a combination of a stout and Belgium dark ale. Taste, starting from strongest on down, is bitter dark chocolate, licorice, char, coriander, black coffee, peppery spice, roasted malts & a bit of molasses. Definitely finishes a little dry. Overall it’s complex. The flavors bounce around with each sip getting a little different combination each time but mainly following how I have it listed above. Not being a big Belgium fan, although I do seem to enjoy more of the dark styles, I really liked the Game of Thrones gift pack series. All 3 were good. I had some decent Belgium’s last night so maybe my horizons are expanding.
