Absolutely beautiful day here in the mountains. To have 76° on a clear August day is perfect. Lots of chores to do and time for a relaxing break on the downstairs deck. Needed something light and refreshing so I grabbed this Mexican lager from Cahaba Brewing in Birmingham.
Pale yellow color with a little Haze. Expected corn aroma with a hint of citrus. Very light, soft and smooth texture. Modest corn malt with hint of crisp lime peel in the finish. Has just a small kick of bitter that makes you want another refreshing sip.
I was pleasantly surprised in this. It's an excellent Mexican lager. Very drinkable, refreshing, clean mouthfeel. At 5.3% a little strong for an all day thirst quencher. But I'll take it.
