GREY’S VIEW
Imperial Stout aged in Brandy Barrels. Conditioned w/ Caco Nibs, Cocoa Powder, Montgomery Cherries and Brazilian Bahaina Vanilla Beans.
First dive. It's really mineral. I mean really mineral.
Taste has that sweet banana drycookie flavour at first, with actual Brandy being there in the next step. Nice. It has some well presented, agile, red berry / red wine notes to it. But the sweetness is strong in there. Cookies, sugars and banana. The taste is light and shallow as the body isn't really big enough.
Body is somewhat light, light to medium minus, with sweet being and close to nonexistent bubbles; it just doesn't carry itself that well. Mmmyeah.
OTHER NOTES:
Quite clear. The base wasn't big enough when they started to create this one. Brandy Barrels has killed the maltbase and the rest of the beer (adjuncts) just lays there.
Unless. Unless you where lookin' for a red wine with a twist?
