Fully foggy, deep yellow beer looks like peach nectar. The carbonation is bold but not as annoying as that of yesterday's Goulet. Still, the soapy head with a faint yellowish reflection grows three fingers tall and descends fast to a moldy lacing wafting on the surface.
The nose enjoys the hefty tropical aromas: mango, cantaloupe, guava and kiwifruit. A good spoonful of cream has obviously been poured in the oat-based concoction.
Tropical fruit nectar is what I have on my tastebuds. Smooth and round. And creamy. Generally speaking, the palate is a couple of decimals more bitter than what the fragrance suggests, like having introduced lemon peel into the same cocktail with raw mango, guava, lemon pulp, marginal passionfruit and a drop of tangerine. Oat flakes surely in the maltbase, rye is merely distant.
The body is full. Quite. Or almost. Finishes with more or less the same medley as before. Maybe the creaminess flattens slightly toward the end. Crochet macrame, broken down strings; Mama Cass and Mary Jane, and the aftertaste flings.
The mouthfeel is full, juicy, nectar-like, pulpy and tropical. Soft, smooth and creamy. And modestly crisp but only modestly. A flavorful and enjoyable piece.
