Nez très floral aux notes citronnées. On retrouve dans ce nez du zeste d'orange et de citron. On a aussi des notes de passion. En bouche, c'est en effet pas très amer mais houblonné à souhait. On a une jolie bière complexe et équilibrée. On retrouve en effet dans ce véritable jus de houblon des notes d'agrumes puis ensuite des notes florales. On a tout de même une jolie amertume, relativement douce pour une dipa, qui vient relever le tout et apporter une touche houblonnée supplémentaire. Fin de bouche sur le pin et des notes mielleuses. C'est donc une belle bombe de houblon, qui ravira les aficionados de cette plante merveilleuse. PS: belle longueur en bouche PS2: J'apprends pendant ma dégustation que c'est la première neipa! C'est un honneur de goûter cette bière. La recette est inchangée depuis 2003 (j'avais un an à l'époque !) et rien que pour ça, ça mérite le 5/5. Avant d'avoir cette info j'avais déjà mis 4,7/5 donc sans biais ça reste encore aujourd'hui, plus de 20 ans après, une très très bonne bière. Alors si en plus c'est la première, ça en fait la reine des neipa, un de mes styles favoris. Le 5/5 est donc entièrement justifié et coule de source.

This beer it’s kind of the standard for Hazy IPAs. I gave it 4.75 because I know that there is always room for improvement but if you wanna know what a real NEIPA taste like , this beer must be on your list.

C'est donc elle la première Neipa, recette inchangé de 20 ans du petit état du Vermont. C'est étonnamment hyper amère, agrumes et ultra résineux, grosse amertume efficace. On est loin du style actuelle où l'on efface le plus possible l'amertume.

Canned on 10/13, bought locally on 10/24/23 and amazing as always, drinks smooth like a single but beware as the quality lingers at 8 % APV.

Best double IPA I have ever had!...scratch that, THE BEST BEER EVER!!

Found this in a single while beer shopping recently. Grabbed as it was one of two left. Always a hard beer to find. I did not give it justice in my first review. This has the normal grapefruit, piney resin so I’ll skip them. Now to add to the fruity aspects - has some mango, apricot, passion fruit with light peach. Hoppy that is medium+. Has a medium dankness+ to it. Light crackery malt. Canned on 7/10/23 so nice and fresh. There is nothing to list as bad with this beer. I’m just sad as I finish this review as I’m also finishing this beer. 😢. I should have bought the last 2. Hind sight ☹️☹️☹️ This is literally the best beer ever. Why I listed a 4.9 I do not know why. It is a 5. My father- in-law works in a beer section at a super market. When they get this in it sells out in an hour or 2. Once word gets out he says they get indidated with people looking for it. I will always post this beer when I find it. Hopefully I gave it more justice this time.
