The first flight wasn't too impressive, rather vice versa. I need a revanche. Therefore, a smaller flight of three Lambics.
Lambic flight 1/3.
Clear gold beer with a faint hazy reflection. Impotent carbonation. A pure white moussy head that reaches half a finger only. Then a mere hair-thin lace ring.
Smells reasonable. Sour peach. Lemon peel. Wild yeast. Distantly farmhousey, like horse stable. The direction is right. Very sour taste: wild yeast dominates, lemon zest, peach and lemon accompany.
The body is light. For sure. The citrusy end waves with a long tail. The mouthfeel is tart, puckering, juicy, dry and drying. What I'm missing here big time is the funkiness and Belgiany character. Nothing special compared to the masters of Lambics but alright though. Could well be a Wild Ale.
