Basically hazy, deep rusty beer that allows a bit of light to permeate it. The color is not particularly inviting, something like brownish auburn. The introverted carbonation creates a medium-bubbled head that still exceeds one finger and vanishes wellnigh completely within a short while. Fairly distinct components in the scent: blackcurrant and peach. An interesting combination! And it explains the odd color. I can also spot a bit of blueberry, orange peel, relatively ample oat cracker as well as a smaller injection of wheat malt. This is a very cakey fragrance, I just can't get any specific cake in my mind that would contain those two biggest ingredients. I guess there are some anyway. Indeed, the mixture of blackcurrant and peach dances seamlessly. I never thought that those two would pair so nicely. Additionally, I can pick blackberry but not blueberry anymore, purple plum or damson, passionfruit,... and an unexpected punch of licorice. Quite nice actually. The maltbase portrays this time wheat but the oaty element remains obscure. The sourness is reasonable, not enormous but not wanting either. The body is medium-full. Cool. The finish lingers neatly in the mouth leaving especially licorice and blackcurrant, why not also blackberry, on the tongue. Come hold my beer, hold it tight; we're in a weird time of life; don't wreck the aftertaste, it'll be alright. The mouthfeel is medium-full, juicy and fruit-cakey. Tartness is at a moderate level, and the puckering side is relatively subdued. Faintly acidic, as well. All in all, a solid Imperial Pastry Sour.

Petit goût fruité avec une touche de vanille. Bonne acidité
