Semiclear, chestnut brown beer with rich carbonation unlocks a creamy head that exceeds two fingers. The foamy cap shrinks soon but sustains a thick billowy lace ring in the sides. A moldy lacing wafts on the top.
The scent is restrained, maybe because of the temperature. It offers brown biscuit, a twist of syrup and raisin. All in small quantities.
The taste is very balanced, I somehow anticipate something sweet-leaning. Even though the components include intensive malt, biscuit, raw cacao powder, raisin, remote syrup and a grassy slam, the palate is still very balanced and not sappy at all.
The body is medium to medium-full. The end is fairly identical to the actual taste, perhaps marginally more bitter if a difference must be pointed. The shaman calls from deep in the aftertaste and he's telling you how to find the deepest wound that you have borne; it's the gift you bring; it's the secret song that only you can sing; three rings and a sword for the ancient kings under the starlight.
The mouthfeel is medium, a bit effervescent, intense, somewhat deep and balanced. Overall, a nice Dubbel to enjoy.

Een milde dubbel uit Amersfoort gebrouwen met Veluwewater.
Dus..🤔,
Smaakvolle dubbel, licht kruidig met iets van chocolade.🍻
