Kuila (pronounced "Kay - la") is derived from the northern suburb town of Kuils River. The area is named after the river which flows through it, on the foot of the Bottelary Mountains - just 25 km outside Cape Town.
Kuils River, with its many Coe crossing, is a testimony to its rural setting and is regarded as the gateway to the Stellenbosch Wine Route.
Kuila Lager is carefully brewed with all these elements in mind.
