The pour from the can was actually nice. Smooth, with just the right amount of foam, leaving a picturesque pint. The colour seems unsure of itself, almost purple at first glance but as it is held to the light it has a mildly red tint with an amber hue phasing in and out. Taking awaybfrom the light it again starts to resemble an overly diluted, blackcurrant fruit juice. A nice foamy head with a matching purple hue is also present, and last quite well.
Scent is quite muted, it carries a hit of berliner weiis, with mild citrus and slight sour funk, that gets taken over by a medly of raspberry and cherry.
The mouthfeel is light and a little soft. There is an initial foamy feel that passes quickly and is preceded by the tiniest bite of carbonation before it all fades mildly into dullness.
Taste doesn't have alot going on either, the BW profile is absent entirely and the raspberry is watered down to the point that there is no sourness surviving. A wave of slight soapiness rolls over which doesn't fit quite well here before some blackberry appears in the final notes which also carries into the aftertaste, along with a mild reprisal from the cherry.
A fairly dull affair and surprisingly light/weak for a 4.8%.
