A nightcap. Belgian Strong Dark Ale rum liquor infused. Sounds like I need time for this. This sips rather than gulps. That's alright, mama. The night is young. 👍🏻
Limpid deep chestnut brown is the hue. Obedient carbonation gives a massive tall head that shoots an entire palm high. Controversial. Anyway, looks soft and creamy. And fawn. Even the lacing is impressive although not very thick. A series of diverse traces can be spotted on the glass later.
Dark fruity aromas dominate in the air. Suits me. I'm picking prune, raisin, cacao nibs and vanilla. Rum and cane sugar merge with barrel notes in the second wave. Maybe a whisper of caramel, too. Basically very smooth but gives a bit of warning, saying, don't try me too fast. Being in no hurry, I take it as it is.
The first sip gives me directions. And good vibes. Oh yes! Flavors start to unveil themselves: prune, raisin, date, caramel, vanilla, rum, sweet bun, cane sugar, faint licorice and barrel nuances. A posh set of flavors leads me seductively to the world of sins. I'm ready.
The body is full. The effervescence disturbs the assessment of the fullness but I guess I can legitimately conclude that it's full anyway. The final stage follows the same trajectory as before but it's narrower: the dark fruits remain alive longest.
Full it is. Deep, rich, elegant. Intense. Relatively soft though. And smooth. Barrel aged – absolutely. A tad effervescent. The end shows also a modest alcoholic tang. A slow sipper, of course, which should come at no surprise.
NOTE: The barcode gives the Wild Weasel Whiskey Infused version.

Tää on kyllä just mitä etiketissä luvataan eli liköörin ja rommin aika tuhti lämpöpakkaus 😅 Ei janoon vaan nautintoon kun ei ole minnekään kiire.. sopii siis näin lomalaiselle 😎
