Relatively cloudy, yellow beer with introvert carbonation sets free a soapy head that shoots two fingers high but dissipates rapidly to zero. Then the surface is flat still.
The olfactory provision is extraordinarily modest. It's also somewhat sweet with mandarin and kumquat peel. Even marginally perfumy, I would say.
The scent promises something sweet and probably overripe, maybe canned. Well, I get something totally different on the taste receptors: sour lemon and grapefruit, loads of peel and pith and piney nuances. The label says this is a Cold IPA but tastes like a Sour IPA. Confusing.
The body is light. The finish lifts the sourness even higher and squeezes more tangy piney flavors to the glass. Definitely not my favorite. The aftertaste's as cold as ice, it's willing to sacrifice our love; it never takes advice; someday it'll pay the price, I know.
The mouthfeel is deeply crisp, rather tangy, piney, pithy, dry and drying. Difficult to rate: too sour for the style though.
