Chocolate and oatmeal in the aroma. Taste has chocolate and oatmeal, just like the aroma, but with a hoppy bitterness as well. Not a big fan of hoppy stouts, but we'll see where this goes. Taste is kind of watered down to me. It does have a very smooth, creamy body, so that's a plus. Letting this warm up did help it some, but it's pretty average. Not great or bad. Could use some more flavor. At this point, I'm getting a smokiness along with chocolate and oatmeal. The hoppiness is still there, but it's mellowed out some. Creamy medium body with a moderate carbonation. I don't think I'd buy it again, but it's good and I'm glad I tried it. 3.5/5
