They say good things come to those who wait right? We’re extremely lucky to be able to access some of the latest and most exciting releases from our hop merchant, and when they told us of the newest release from the USDA’s hop breeding program was a varietal almost two decades in the making, we were incredibly curious to see what they had to offer after their previous effort Vista left a huge impact on things here at the brewery. Triumph has swathes of noble lineage – its parentage being EKG, Nugget, Brewer’s Gold, and Hallertau Mittelfruh – but we’ve been absolutely taken aback at how fruit-forward this hop is; with it absolutely bursting at the seams with bright, punchy orange, peach and lime notes. Brought to the party in classic Polly’s style as a single hop showcase, this is a super balanced, crisp and clean pale ale perfect for sessioning with pals.
