Back in Houston today. Son-in-law had a few beers waiting on me. The one we're having first is the one in the middle of the table. Quite a few to go. Only starting with a 13.6% beer today. Thankfully we're sharing. Prairie always has excellent beers. Open the cap in immediately get strong alcohol. Went into the glass like syrup, really, just like syrup. Swirl the glass and it leaves a heavy slushy coating on the glass. Texture is so heavy and thick that you don't sip it, you chew it. First sip conveys of flavor exactly like a peanut butter cookie. Heavy with sweet molasses. Lightly roasted. Pleasent burn going down but not as intense as you would expect. Toward the middle you get the chocolate fudge and marshmallow, everything well balanced. Giving this a five before I take even the second sip. Somehow, with all of this flavor, the 13.6% is mostly hidden until the finish. The entire empty glass was totally covered with a crusty sludge. Sad that it's gone. Unbelievably excellent experience.
