Pure Devotion
5.2% Pale Ale - New England
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the hop breeders without whom breweries like us wouldn’t exist today. The pioneers of the US hop cultivating industry are constantly innovating; creating new varietals for us to utilise in our brewing and set our drinkers tastebuds alight. Wanting to pay homage to these industry leaders, we’ve selected some of our favourite stateside slammers to sprout from the US. Pure Devotion, aptly named, celebrates this by bringing Citra - previously known as 114, Mosaic - previously HBC 369, Talus - also known as HBC 692 and Idaho 7 - a product of Jackson Farms labelled 007 - together for an all out amped up juice explosion of flavour. Expect fresh cut citrus fruits, bubblegum sweetness, sticky marmalade notes, and just a hint of herbal complexity in this incredible pale ale.
Hops: Citra, Idaho 7, Mosaic, Talus

Another great pale ale from Pollys. Even though it was very cold (been on the garage and I should have let it warm up) it was still flavoursome and gave that unique Pollys twist with its complexity. Cracking first beer of the night 👍

Great beer this. As usual with Polly's you get wonderful balance of fruitiness and bitterness. Really soft mouthfeel. Fairly dry orange/tangerine and grapefruit with hints of the other usual suspects.

Pale and hazy as per, with some small head retention. Very, very hoppy on the nose which makes this particularly appetising, my mouth is watering in anticipation. It smells sweet and deep with tropical and citrus fruit. First sip and it's luscious, loads of juice and hops, it's got to be one of the biggest pale ales I've ever had. Must be thanks to the all-star hop line up, this is a celebration of US hops, so really, of craft brewing itself. Sweet and dank tropical pineapple but in a soft manner, clementine citrus again in a soft way and just a sh*t ton of hoppy goodness. So soft and smooth in the mouth with medium body and a medium-short finish. It's about as much as you could pack into a pale, although for 5.2% ABV it's on the weakside, that's to say not hefty, which is a pro for drinkability but a possible con for impact. That said, the sheer flavour makes up for lack of IPA or DIPA hit.
