This was unique experience of a modern take on a red ale that took me on a flavour journey that reminded me of big time thick forests and huge trees everywhere.
Firstly the notes of slightly burnt/roasted nuts and coffee beans hits me me from afar with a slight dryness. Then a slight bitter back end brings this taste sensation and to an end.
Such a great modern twist on a traditional beer that keeps you wanting more from Pollys.

2022 Christmas Advent Beer 6b.
Not a style of beer that I get to try often as I rarely see many examples here.
Very pleasurable indeed. Hoppy, red and bitter, this is autumn in a glass.
Red X malt gives the amazing crimson red colour but also contributes a big malty backbone consisting of biscuit and toffee.
The bitterness is assertive, it’s an in yer face beer for sure! My money is on the Centennial doing the dirty work. Citrus led finishing peppery but with some fruitiness in the background too.
WCIPA meets a Scotch ale, perhaps 🤔
Lovely drop!
