We’re incredibly humbled to be given priority access to the freshest, newly released hop varietals by our incredible hop merchants here at Polly’s HQ – a sign of where we feel we’ve come from and where we’re heading in the future as a brewery; being one of the flagbearers for modern UK brewing and repping Wales on a global stage. It sent us into no end of giddiness to find out about a new hop freshly released from the USDA Hop Breeding programme – Vista. With notes of fleshy pear, ripe honeydew and melange of sweet tropical flavours, we were advised the best thing to pair with this incredible varietal would be a classic C hop – step forward the very lifeblood of the brewery, Citra. A full on explosion of that high juice with a whisper of bitterness at the back, hola Vista!

What a beer.
Second beer from this brewery and it was phenomenal - definitely one of the best beers I've ever had.
Unreal to get this thickness and juiciness for 5.5% the quality is amazing.
Must try.

Pale straw coloured opaque hazy brew by Polly's as per. Rich aroma emanating from this double dry hopped pale ale featuring a new hop... Vista, should be interesting. The familiar waft of Citra is potent and pleasant and the unfamiliar Vista is coming across somewhat like Simcoe, deep in tropical fruit. This is seriously hoppy and gagging to be tasted!
(I just spilt it over my keyboard, doh, so it's been sat for a while, probably will have helped it fester and develop).
Ooh it's silky smooth and very soft with medium body and medium to long finish. There's definitely something unique about this brew, the new Vista hop is different to Simcoe and other NEIPA style hops. My first impressions is that I love it! It's dank like Strata and juicy like Simcoe and accompanied by the staple Citra. It's odd to be so light and smooth but have so much flavour. Clocking in at 5.5% might not find a bigger tasting pale at this ABV, it has as much flavour as a big DIPA. Vista could easily become my favourite hop and I'm already anticipating future brews including it.
Peach, mango, satsuma, pineapple, weed, passionfruit, lemon peel, apricot, a hint of cream and a tongue coating of dankness. It's so lush and the body increases as the temperature gradually approaches ambient.
If you see a Vista brew grab it immediately.
