Muddy black beer with anxious carbonation can't help unlocking a chococino-colored froth that decides to climb up to the rim and spread laces on the floor. The head dissolves to a thin lace ring after a while.
The scent is subdued: I find cacao nibs. Only.
The tongue recognizes multiple flavors like dark chocolate, cacao nibs, coconut and lactose. Syrup and burned brown sugar accompany the palette. Quite sweet.
The body is medium-full to full, maybe closer to medium-full anyway. The finish gives a bit huskier impression, also a pinch of hops make headway now. The end is less sweet than the actual taste and hangs around in the mouth for long.
The mouthfeel is somewhat mellow, a tad sticky, adjuncted and desserty. It's soft and smooth. Rather heavy although not enormously full. Sappy to my taste. Therefore, not entirely balanced.
