Solidarity Beer 🇺🇦. Tja, wer oder was beim Plague Doctor Black 🖤 IPA für den Namen wohl Pate stand...? Auf jeden Fall schickt Re:Brew aus Kyjiv hier ein 6,2% starkes Black IPA mit 30 IBU und tiefbrauner ins Colafarbene abdriftende Couleur ins Verkostungsglas. Von dort strömen malzige und minimal fruchtige Noten von roten Beeren in die Nase. Am Gaumen nimmt das Plague Doctor von Anfang an eine überraschend bittermalzige, relativ herbe Geschmacksnote ein, die dann unterschwellig auch leicht karamallig daherkommt. Im Abgang dominiert dann wieder Herbe. Schöne Mischung aus IPA und Tmavý.

Lasissani bipa on harvinaisuus mutta todellinen harvinaisuus on ukrainalainen bipa. En ole ennen ukrainalaisia olutta vielä maistanut. Tuoksussa kevyttä katkeroa ja luumua. Olut sinällään on hyvin tumman puhuva, kuin Ukrainan tilanne. Vaahto on kauniin beige. Maussa reilua paahteisuutta, katkeroisuutta, nokisuutta, appelsiinia, kypsää hedelmäisyyttä, humalaisuutta ja kuivahkoutta. Jälkimaussa greippimäisyyttä ja kuivahkoutta. Todella hyvä bipa, sanat eivät jälleen riitä. Malja Ukrainalle 🇺🇦

Another one for Ukraine, from Ukraine 🍺 Tämä on kyllä tyylilleen uskollinen. Paahteisen maltainen ja reilun kahvinen, mutta lopussa kivasti hedelmäinen ja greippisen katkeroinen. Kuiva maku jää pyörimään suuhun. Bipoja pitäisi edelleenkin maistella enemmän 🍻

Solidarity beer #4. 🇺🇦 Murky, very deep dark brown beer fills the glass patiently. Vivid carbonation releases a beautiful, fawn head that climbs two fingers high. Retention is relatively long as the foamy cap adorns the surface as a neat layer for substantiality long. The withdrawing head paints the glass with multiple downpouring splatters. Roasted malt, rye bread and coffee with a good load of sugar can be spotted in the scent. I can also pick a little hint of raw cacao and a nutty note in the background, followed by something very distant and sweet fruity... like cantaloupe. Interesting! The taste offers certainly roasted malt, rye that is not bread but dough, and a smaller injection of cacao nibs. The coffeeish touch is detectable and quite sweet. I wonder if there's lactose in this beer. The nutty side can also be imagined there, it's also a bit sweet but gets confused with the dry-hoppy element. The body is light-medium, maybe even a decimal more. The finish gears more hoppy, bringing in some grassy features, as well. Otherwise, the end gives roast and some bitter flavors like raw cacao and coffee. The aftertaste puts on a beak mask and pretends to be able to cure plague. The mouthfeel is roasted, creamy, velvety, smooth and a bit crisp. It's also moderately effervescent and interestingly satiating. Later, the mouthfeel gains some husky characteristics and even warms the throat marginally. Overall, a very tasty BIPA. 🖤🖤 I like the label art!
