So.. I've been thinking about writing these ratings in english for few years and this is the first. Also the next step to something else? Let me know what you think, if this might be the thing.
Beer itself is thick black and opaque, in front of light there can be seen very thin shines of dark brown. Head is even lightly dark gold in its dark brown essence, foam is silky and becomes steady after while. Oily, sticky remains left behind as head falls.
Aroma is rich enough to fill the room around the glass at first touch. Chocolate and mocha push their existent immediately out, also nutty pastry with crushed hazelnut pops in. Vanilla and creamy lactose are there, heightening roasty caramel and syrup-like sugary. Roasted coffee and chocolate beans with tight extract from dark malt are beautifully balancing the big picture. In the background is dark berries with light touch of charcoaly like wood. Hint of marmalade like dark, dry plums and dates.
Taste follows the aroma pretty well. Pastry side is rich from chocolate, cacao-beans, mocha and dry cake. Hazelnuts bring forth nice own piece to the whole game, roasted malt and now subtle bite from caramel side create together good kick to other roastiness from coffee and touch of wood. Lactose and vanilla are playing together well, also syryp and now sweet brush of dark herbs do their own thing building scenery for this beer. Berries and dark fruits mix together to some kind of jam, still creating good twist to the background.
Aftertaste is pastry, liquid chocolate and roasted cocoa, coffee and malt. Vanilla and herbs leave the last vibes.
Mouthfeeling is quite thick, oily, roasty and pretty acid.
After two weeks of hecking flu from pollen and street dust, this is big enough to break the stuffy senses. Very well balanced and hard enough to be what it wants to be, pastry isn't too much in this case and serves long-lasting beer in the glass.
