Pale amber and very deep/opaque appearance on this double dry hopped oat IPA with minimal head retention after a few minutes. It smells like a Cloudwater! Rich stone fruit and hoppy with a lack of immediate citrus though it is there in the form of orange peel. There's a funk of pineapple, sweetness of apricot and mango. Looking forward to the first sip. This beer consists of a mixture of Cyro and whole hops which should make for a potent hoppy brew but may lack finesse. Idaho 7, Idaho 7 Cyro, Mosaic and Simcoe Cyro. I've never had Simcoe Cyro before I don't think. I'm not a huge fan of splitting hops into compounds but I'm willing to not hold that against it, particularly as how appealing it is. It is very soft as you'd expect from Polly's and a oaty brew. Juicy/fruity with a medium to full body and a pretty fast finish actually that borders on dry. It does lack a top end, there's no air or subtle elegance, it's all there straight up. Juicy peach, pineapple, orange, apricot all presented in a relatively gentle manner considering DDH label, this is Cyro for you, hoppy but lacking something. Don't get me wrong this 'something' would probably only represent 10% of a beer brewed with whole hops, so it's still very juicy and fruity, but it's noticeable to me. It's nicer than plenty of whole hop brews and it's a Polly's, so you it's good and that the usual care and attention is there. They're not attempting to pump out mass yield by using Cyro. They've made a soft, flavourful, easy drinking IPA with good mouthfeel and body. Big stone fruit and engineered for boosted hop taste, I really should not be hung up on splittings hairs like splitting hops!

It pours a cloudy, golden colour with a white head. Aroma is of stone and tropical fruits. Flavour is of pine, stone fruits and tropical fruits.

Initial sweetness gives way to a bitter stonefruit IPA with herbal aftertaste, evident from the dry hop. Typical Polly’s effortless pillowy mouthfeel… probably should end the night on this…

Tuoksussa kivihedelmiä ja yrttejä. Suutuntuma keskihiilihappoinen, kirpsakka ja kuiva. Maussa sitrusta, ruohoa, greippiä, kivihedelmiä ja hieman yrttejä. Jälkimaku kuiva ja ruohoinen. Aika perinteistä Polly'sin makupalettia tässäkin. Omaan makuun olisi saanut olla vähän trooppisempi. Ihan ryhdikäs.
