Seems that the label for Christmas Bomb changes every year. Not sure if the beer itself changes. I Duo this beer with the son-in-law in Houston while snowed in. Has a small but deep brown head. Aroma is of cinnamon, dark fruit, and the chili peppers. All combine and balance each other. Seems to pour with a medium consistency. Texture is soft, has body but not as much as a 13% would indicate. Taste again brings the cinnamon, mild chili pepper mixed with brown sugar. As it enters the middle, a mild alcohol warming appears. The finish shifts entirely. A new flavor dominates, a sweet expresso combined with dark chocolate. Even the texture transitions into a more dry ending. A well hidden 13%. This beer is a chameleon, it ebbs and flows and moves about on the palate in a very intriguing way. The ingredients combined to create a new flavor of their own and then stepped aside to let the finish take the stage. Nearly all beers will remind me of something I've had before, similar to this beer or that beer. This is unique, unlike anything else I have ever experienced. Well done.
