Enjoying this beer as a Duo with my son-in-law. He's had it before and loved it and sent one back home with me. He said I would love it. Medium high head but this thing is super hazy. To the point that it's opaque even while being poured. Looks like grapefruit in a glass with all of the sediment. Aroma is of grapefruit and oranges and maybe a little alcohol. First sip is Wow! Very soft creamy texture, especially for an IPA. No bitterness! Actually it's very sweet. A perfect blend of grapefruit and oranges, both present but easy to distinguish between the two. Powerful flavor that goes into the finish with only the smallest whiff of bitterness on the tongue. Turns a little dry and then the taste disappears. Begs for another sip. This is 12.5% and I don't get any of it. Talk about a dangerous drink on a hot afternoon. I prefer my dessert stouts, strong, flavorful, to be sipped and enjoyed. IPAs don't normally follow that agenda. This one's different. My first dessert quadruple IPA. This is the IPA version of a pastry stout. No guzzling this, sip it, enjoy it, savor it, sweet and delicious. Best IPA I have ever found.
