It's been pretty much two years now since we started to chat on Instagram. Since that we've been in contact, ordered beers together, given beers to each others etc. We were meant to meet over a pint in April 2020 but you know what happened.  Today is finally the day that we are able to share a beer together for the first time but you know it won't stop there. We've got the whole weekend ahead of us. So let's get it on with the tasting. First up: Monkish Brewing Company - Crates and Cobwebs 7,0% DDH India Pale Ale. We are thirsty so just couple words. No time to let it warm up. 🤤🤣 Fully hazy, bright yellow in color. Dry hops are clearly on the palate and nose. Sweetness rises on the nostrils and deliveres itself also on palate. Citrus and pineapple forward we go.

BEER: Crates And Cobwebs BREWERY: Monkish Brewing Co. BEER STYLE: NEIPA COUNTRY: USA ABV.: 7.0% COLOUR (EBC): Pineapple Juice Yellow (13.0) BITTERS (EBU/IBU): - AROMA: Gummy, hazy grainy, citrusy, somewhat mellow although clearly strong. HEAD: Fast and loud. Peaks at one and a half finger height. GREY’S VIEW DDH NEIPA w/ Cashmere & Galaxy. Taste has sweet and zesty candy like flavour turning towards strawberries. Also raw cantaloupe and honeydew are present creating hints of vinous notes. Mouthfeel is light and quite hard. Bubbles are low in numbers while the DDH is growing nicely giving more of lime, raw pineapple juice and sugarcany elements to this. OTHER NOTES: Requires a good while to open up. Taste is growingly vinous, which I really like. Also candied strawberries are nice. Too hard mouthfeel anyway. CANNED 23/9/2021 TASTED 24/11/2021
