Love isn’t always handwritten notes and candy hearts. Sometimes, it’s a sinkhole full of skeletons and worn out platitudes, yet here you stand with your chin held high. Our latest member of the Hearted family, a Black IPA, holds no ire towards love lost, it thrives on it. Remember your ex, take a few sips, and then go back to enjoying your day. They’re someone else’s problem now anyway.

This leans towards the hoppy side with some medium pine and light citrus notes. Has some almost medium roasted malt, light toasted caramel, hints of licorice and coffee to round it off.
Overall very tasty for a black IPA. I really like that it stays on the hoppy side thru out. It’s even medium bodied. Bell’s doesn’t disappoint.

Citrusy and slightly sweet aroma. Taste has citrusy hops, a little bit of piney hops and a borderline roasty flavor presumably from the darker malts used. Very balanced. Medium+ body with medium-ish amount of carbonation. Unique and tasty. Solid 4/5
