Three Philosophers Double Chocolate
9.7% Abt / Quadrupel
This heavenly confection pours a deep caramel in color with mahogany flecks, topped by a foamy tan head. Semi-sweet cocoa and subtle vanilla prevail in the aroma. The mouthfeel is textured and full-bodied, with caramel, toffee, and dark fruit wrapped in the embrace of rich, decadent Taza chocolate, culminating in a refreshingly smooth, lingering finish.
Two-row, amber, caramel, Munich-20, aromatic, extra specialcara-20 malts. Liefmans Cuvee Brut

Tasty - chocolate on the finish. Not bitter, but good ale base. I like that it isn’t as heavy as I expected. Good dessert!

Duo beer with my son-in-law. We both found this beer in different locations. Not sure about this quadruple.
Pours with a murky golden brown, hazy and a continuation of effervescence. Aroma is sweet with chocolate and vanilla, some Belgian characteristics. Soft feel. First taste is strong Belgian clothes, add some dark fruit, probably dates. Light alcohol burn before the finish. Finish adds a bittersweet chocolate. The collaboration with tarza chocolate is pronounced and delicious. Probably the best part of this beer.
Not really fond of this recipe. The bittersweet chocolate in the finish is the best part.
