Another hype brewery! Finback (NY, USA) is known mostly for their juicy IPA’s, but I happen to know; they also know the way with stouts. We’ll see...

GREY’S VIEW
Bourbon Barrel aged Imperial Stout with Vanilla, Chili, Chocolate and Pear.
It’s a chunky boi! The chocolate is really prominent from beginning; thick & slow, sweet and natural. Chili starts slow but grows its presence rather nicely. Warms up from the lungs nicely, without any unneeded burns. Vanilla creeps there too, being mellow as the sunset in the middle of winter. Pear is harder to detect. There is a clear feel of fruitines in this one, but it might be just a feel. Mouthfeel is thick as is the body, but the sweetness is well leveled and this is actually enjoyable. Aftertaste has molasses, slightly burnt brown sugars and some dark malts with decently durable slide.
OTHER NOTES:
Nice brew, but in no way mindblowing. Ingredients feels pure and the journey is nice. Sure, why not?
