Cranberry and nutmeg on the nose. Ok, little tart on the buds. I'm getting cranberries, ginger, nutmeg, and something else I can't put a finger on. It's good but not my thing.

Easy sour for Christmas

Day #15 of Advent Calendar. This is presumably Christmassy. The beer pours foggy, blood orange colored. Languorous carbonation lays a mediocre head that barely covers the surface and melts almost immediately away. Otherwise the glass is entirely intact. Ginger reaches the nose first. Cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom form the following punch of Christmas spices. Right behind the more pronounced aromas, I pick cranberry, a bit of salt and a hint of lingonberry. Sour ginger and passionfruit tingle the taste receptors. Watery cranberry juice signals its presence distinctly. Nutmeg and salt intensify on the tongue whereas cinnamon dilutes considerably. Cardamom is nowhere to be tasted. The body is light. The finish is sour fruity with especially cranberry, ginger and a tad passionfruit. The spiced side retreats cowardly behind the corner. The aftertaste jingles all the way and rides in a one-horse open sleigh. The mouthfeel is light, juicy, tart, Christmassy and spiced. Basically decent but powerless and substandard as to the general quality of the brewery. Disappointment.

1 sormen paksuinen kuohkea vaahto sameassa oranssissa, virkistävässä ja poreilevassa oluessa. Karpalo sour kyseessä, inkivääri, kaneli ja muskottipähkinä tuo hieman jouluista maustetta. Sopivan hapan ja suolainen. Oikein hyvä sour. Marjamainen ja mausteinen.
