Enjoying this brew in Birmingham at Good People Brewing Company. On tap only, not sold in cans. Not much head since she poured it carefully down the side of the glass. Received it in a sniffer which helps with the aroma. Strong bourbon aroma which is surprising considering it is only 5.8%, seems stronger. Dark brown opaque color. Texture is solid but not heavy. Bourbon flavor brings mild alcohol to the forefront, followed by a rich charred oak. Finish is bitter but smooth, and the coffee now becomes predominant. Plus it lasts. I enjoy a complex beer that switches flavors while you enjoy it and this does it extremely well. A good variant from their normal coffee oatmeal stout.
