Backlog from December 25th Family Christmas beer share. Delicious Tugboat coffee, huge flavorful bourbon and maple syrup. Pretty boozy at present time. 4.5/5

Another birthday beer (birthday is tomorrow for those who might be wondering). This one is Buckley aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. 2020 vintage. Aroma has maple syrup and bourbon right up front. Coffee and vanilla is next. Taste has huge maple syrup, tasty bourbon, vanilla and the wonderful, flavorful Tugboat coffee that I love. A nice helping of roasted malts are present as well. It's like breakfast in a glass. Leaves a stickiness on the lips after each sip. Serve me a plate of pancakes and bacon with this and I'll be in a great place. The body is medium-full, decently smooth mouthfeel and a medium-low amount of carbonation. The bourbon just lingers and lingers in the aftertaste, allowing you to savor the flavor. Somewhat boozy, but it is 14.5% abv, so you have to expect that. Absolutely wonderful stout and I have 2 more, so perhaps it'll make an appearance at a future beer share. 4.75/5
