A complex mix of speciality and dark malts make up the grist with cane molasses added in the boil, the beer then being left to age in bourbon barrels. Coffee, vanilla and toasted coconut flakes were introduced before packaging to further compliment the beers richness and complexity.

Needed more vanilla and coconut

Coconut is the only flavour that is in the background, and I like that. That isn’t a flaw. Vanilla and coffee are well presented and the sharpness of the heavily roasted malts are offset by the vanilla. The bourbon provides a nice earthy tang, which plays off gently against the other flavours so nicely...
Pretty darn good!
Time for a snifter... bourbon springs to mind!
