Upea tuoksu. Tosi miellyttävä. Hunaja ja tynnyröinti toimii tosi hyvin yhteen. Suutuntuma keskihiilihappoinen, pehmeä, ryhdikäs, makeahko ja hyvin juotava. Maussa makeutta, hunajaa, tonkapapua, bourbonia ja vaniljaa. Jälkimaku aika kuiva, pehmeä ja vaniljainen. En tiedä miten tuoreena, mutta nyt ei ainakaan ole tonka onneksi enää kovin selvästi esillä. Kyllä se siellä on, mutta taustalla. Tämä on ollut omassa kellarissa kolme vuotta.

Nyt on makea imprerial meikän makuun. Hienosti tulee mausteet esiin runko on sopivan paksu ja kypsytys tukee koko pakettia. Alkoholin/tynnyrin huomaa ja se leikkaa makeutta hyvin

Tuoksu on tässä jo eri kuin V-VI versioissa. Tonkapapu tulee jo tuoksussa läpi yhdessä viskitynnyrin kanssa. Maussa vahva tonkapapu, joka peittää muut alleen.

Third round of Shadow Games is up. Scent is quite amazing. Liquid cream caramel, which is assumably blend of tonka and honeycomb. Also slight tonka-like chocolate. If mixing honey and tonka creates taste like this, I'd be blown away. Taste has roasted malts, some tonka, something bitter-ish, finishing up with a sharp lot of alcoholic warmth, really kicking in with gums and tongue. This can't be right. Bit herbal and medical finish, with lingering chocolate aroma. It's too warm, has to be... Only a tiny hint of cinnamon bun and cream caramel at back of the mouth. Back to the fridge it goes. Right, now it's colder. Scent has more tonka now. Mud cakey, not cream caramel. Taste has tonka, slight mudcake, chocolate, cinnamon. Finish is bit sweet with chocolate and tonka. Still, no sign of honey or cream caramel... Body is quite the same as with previous ones, this time the flavours are less intense though. The beer itself, just doesn't feel right. There's barely any bourbon, a lot of alcohol in body at first, no honey. Can't believe this is the highest rated out of them all. Something must be wrong here. Scent is getting back to cream caramel though. Perhaps 3rd time would be the charm. Already half of it gone, though. Feels fuller in the mouth now. Taste is blend of flavours. Tonka, sweetness (maybe this is honeycomb), dark cocoa powder, bit floral hints, chocolate cake. It's all so blended can't really get them out easily. Flavours not bad, still. Whatever, I'll just stop. This is getting nowhere. What an annoying beer. Disappointment.
