Sipsey River Red
5.3% Red Ale / Amber Ale
This beer won a gold medal in the 2016 Alabama Craft Beer Championship, and a bronze in the 2017 competition. It is an amber to red ale with the perfect balance between malt and European hops. It is smooth, flavorful and colorful. The one thing that sets it apart from other red ales is the fragrance. It will remind you of walking through the Sipsey River Wilderness area in the spring.

The can says red ale but the color is much more of a copper. Has a very faint haze. Begins with a very high, very thick head, it's lasting a while. Aroma is more like an IPA, has a little hoppiness to it. Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Flavor has a little bit of the Marzen Oktoberfest to it and the bitterness of an IPA. Strangely it seems to work. Finish is dry, bitter, and lasts. Can't say I love it but it is definitely unique.
