Opaque, matte black beer with tame carbonation lays a moderate, latte-hued head that spreads unevenly on the top and dissolves soon to a thin ring of minuscule bubbles on the side. The glass is otherwise left untouched.
The scent offers distinct light-roasted almond and oatmeal with a big spoon of sugar. I can also detect generous sweet bun dough, syrup, caramel, a bit of toffee and a suggestion of dark chocolate. The aroma of macaroon is inevitable.
The taste portrays colossal almond that has been soaked in rum. Syrup, caramel, brown sugar, dark chocolate and a pinch of toffee reach the tastebuds in the same vein as in the fragrance. Perhaps raisin also looms in the shadows. The pastry-like punch is powerful and really sweet.
The body is medium to medium-full. The beer finishes with hefty almond that has been soaked in syrup and a suggestion of rum. Moreover, I'm getting brown sugar, a bit of caramel and a chocolatey twist. The aftertaste invites the tastebuds to the table of desserts for less than medium duration.
The mouthfeel is obviously sappy, sticky and definitely lip-glueing. It's indeed pastry-like and desserty. Dangerously attractive in small portions.

This is nice but a bit overwhelming. It drinks more like a spirit, super strong and super intense. It’s nice but feels like you can only a few sips before it becomes too much
