I absolutely loved the first beer I tasted from Nerdbrewing. Clad I now have some more :) Bottle. Best before 11/2024 Temperature: +12 C Looks nice. Pitch black and the foam slowly formed to an even layer that has average retention. Texture of this beer is soooo thick (FG is freaking 1.056): 4,5/5 Aromas of both lactose and caramel sweetness and dessert-like coffee. Mild roasty touch. Bit one-sided but still quite good: 4/5 Mouthfeel is full and velvety smooth. Just a touch of alcohol. I was actually expecting much thicker mouthfeel considering the extremely high final gravity. Low carbonation aids the smooth mouthfeel. This is something I imagine Imperial Milk stouts to be like: 4,5/5 Taste is sweet, this time more lactose sweet than caramelly. Latter stays at the back. Coffee (espresso) is once again here. One-sided but despite ok. Actually quite well balanced, even though towards the end, the sweetness rises quite a bit as the beer warms up: 10,75/15 Decent beer. Not as good as the first one from Nerdbrewing though. However, this needs a lot more complexity to be a truly excellent beer. Now this seems like the kind of beer I enjoy, but probably are not going to buy again: 15,75/20 =39,5/50
