Flight 4/4. Opaque, jet black beer with reasonable, good-duration carbonation builds a pretty, fawn, mousse-like head that climbs up one finger's height. The foamy pillow shrinks sluggishly to a frazil-icy lacing and soft, attractive velvety ring on the top. The retreating foam paints the glass with multiple small, downpouring splatters. The olfactory package pushes forward strong black coffee that still contains a drop of lactose, seasoned with distant raw chocolate. The palate is strong and relatively sharp. I get black mocha with a crack of molten raw chocolate in it as well as crushed unroasted coffee beans somewhere in the sidelines. The body is medium-full. The beer's aftertaste allows one to experience strong, bitter black coffee, a good injection of coffee beans and faint tobacco lingering in the background. I also pick a truly shy chocolatey suggestion there. The mouthfeel is soft and round but also quite sharp, even somewhat tangy, as well as relatively full. Wow, what a flight: three fabulous beers and one which is just there. I'll surely remember the three.
