Ohuen oranssisen ja hyvin tummanruskeaa ja sameahkoa. Kepoinen, luunvalkoinen ja pienikuplainen vaahto. Tuoksu runsaan, maukkaan, makean ja yllättävän tuoreen hedelmäinen (omenaa, päärynää, ananasta, omenaa), maukkaan, runsaan ja miellyttävän belgihiivaisen aromaattinen ja mausteinen, makean tummahkon maltainen. Maku maukkaan, makean ja ohuen paahteisen tumman maltainen, makean tumman siirappinen, poltetun sokerinen ja kuivatun hedelmäinen (rusinaa, omenaa, päärynää), selkeän ja miellyttävän belgihiivaisen aromaattinen ja mausteinen, ohuen ruisleipäisen mausteinen sekä hyvin maltillisen humalaisen katkera. Oikein hyvät, runsahkot ja tasapainoiset maut. Suutuntuma on melko täyteläinen, pehmeähkö ja hiilihappoinen. Oikein maukas, laadukkaan oloinen, melko monivivahteinen, vaikkakin hieman nuoren oloinen sekä oikeinkin mukavasti juotava belgiale. Oikein mukavaa juotavaa, vaikka lopullinen syvyys jääkin puuttumaan.

Thursday goes too slow, I've got Friday on my mind. So, to ease my agony, I have a beer. Clear, dark maroon brown is the appearance. Posh carbonation and a subsequent lush head that shoots even four fingers high. The fawn foamy stack melts fast to a messy lacing on the top. The nose receives cookie, dark caramel, chocolate malt, toasted brown sugar, a bit of syrup and distant nutmeg. Relatively intensive, well balanced and pleasant. The taste profile follows suit: ample dark caramel, raw cacao bean, toasted brown sugar, a pinch of cookie, faint cola nut and a good load more syrup than in the air. Maybe still a suggestion of nutmeg. The hoppy segment couldn't be analyzed from the fragrance, but now, the flavor cocktail suggests a fairly generous dry-grassy slam that gives character to the drink. The body is full. Nice! The tail lifts the hoppy side even higher but otherwise the concoction is more or less unchanged. The mouthfeel is full, intense, deep, lip-glueing but also moderately drying and beautifully balanced. Belgiany, for sure. A classic that I finally manage to check in here.

Kafie

Klassinen belgialainen quadruple. Maistuu kun tyylistä tykkään. Väri on nätin syvän tummanruskea. Vaahtoaa runsaasti kuten nämä tapaavat tehdä. Tuoksu on makeahko, rusinainen, jopa hiukan marjainen. Maku jatkaa samalla linjalla, hiukan makeutta, kirpeähköä marjaa ja alkoholin lämpöä. Jälkimaussa on hiukan mineraalisuutta makeuden seassa. Suuhun jää lämmin, hiukan makea tunne.
