A complex mix of malted barley along with a longer boil time gives this beer a smooth malty sweetness and deep color while remaining light in body.

With my son-in-law that Galveston Bay Brewing enjoying the third beer on a flight of four. This is a bronze medal winning beer that I have had before but never on tap.
Color is a very deep wine red, intense haze enough to make it opaque. Very gentle texture. Flavor has no bitterness and the intensity is mild. Flavor is of a bitter dark cherry, disappears during a moderately dry finish. Not my favorite Scottish ale.

Medium sized, tan head. Lasts a little while. Hazy, very dark reddish amber color. Aroma is a little fruity, prunes or maybe cherry. The flavor is more of prumes but is quick and dry. Finish is dry with very faint hops. Good, I will recommend.
