DDH version of In the Dark We Live, a nice black IPA Alko had last year. This also has oats and wheat in it. Hops are Simcoe and Mosaic. Color is black with miniscule foam. Scent is smooth and hoppy. Taste is hoppy, piney and resinous. There is also some chocolate and coffee. More flavour of the hops which seem a bit diluted. Mouthfeel is very smooth for 10% abv and aftertaste is a bit dry. It is very nice black IPA with good smoothness but I was hoping the flavours would be even stronger. Then again, this was brewed in May so it's about 2 months old. Would be a good contender for best bipa as fresh.
