My 2nd and last can of this and I think I like it even more. So much so that this may well be my favourite beer ever.

I love this. Very cloudy brown in colour. Initially it tastes like a Belgium ale, but then a whole bag of fruity flavours come through. Stone fruits and berries. Strong at 7.8% and you can taste the strength but it's not overpowering. I've never had a Doppelbock before but will be on the lookout for more now and I think this one sets a high standard.

Doppelbock, bien dans le style. Très malté, au nez on sent d'office les céréales légèrement grillées ainsi que des notes de caramel. En bouche c'est doux, mais sans lourdeur, avec une touche de banane qui rejoint le caramel et le malt. Très peu d'amertume, finale tout en douceur qui tapisse la langue et allonge les arômes de malt. Très bon, même si classique.
