Bottle. Best before: 4/2023 Temperature: +14 degrees Black beer. Even salt licorise powder color head with fairly good retention, especially concidering the ABV: 4,5/5 Nose: smoked plums (suprise...), almost burnt coffee, chocolate, bit dark fruity sweetness. There's even a bit chili like spicy twist in there: 4/5 Full, creamy mouthfeel with nice dark malt touch, balancing bitterness (which is in every De moersleutel's beers). Alcohol is well hidden and really just comes out very lightly at the end. Balanced: 4,25/5 Taste: plums, but the smokiness is not nearly as strong as the nose has, which I like, cause it lets the other flavours shine. Then comes, coffee, chocolate, roastiness and slightly toasty maltiness...not the most intense flavours in the world but again, well balanced: 11/15 Overall good beer. Beautiful balanced in every aspects. I only wish stronger flavours: 15,75/20 =39,5/50
